What is the purpose of edge_balance ?

Hi there, This is a sample balance method to ensure that the numbers of positive and negative pixels are not too different. Otherwise the model will go to a local minimum where all pixels are categorized as background.

Hi Sifei,

Thanks for your reply, I noticed that this balance weighting is only included in backprop. The loss keeps the same, does it change anything if the loss also is weighted ?
