After learning about CSS3 Patterns with the help of some of your examples, I decided to try a few patterns of my own. Utilizing a multi-level masking/layering technique one can use a shape to mask repeated shapes with any type of angle. I thought I would submit this for consideration, feel free to accept it for your collection if it is something you would find useful.

Just to give some feedback: This looks ugly in Chrome (51), the edges aren't smooth. I know its possible to avoid this but I can't remember the CSS-Prefix.

@Pandiora I totally agree. I have extended the end transition point between transparency and solid color in my linear gradients to achieve smoother edges. Let me know what you think.
