This reverts commit 78ca688.

This commit breaks all the test cases in fluster.

dabrain34, Can you please specify which test and what platforms this is failing on?
A configuration where there is an image array with an individual image view per layer should work.

I had the issue with RTX 3050 and driver 550.40.77
