Investigation: Updating Pylint to a newer version [TIMEBOX: 1.5 Days] #8148
Description
Pylint is pinned at version 2.13.9 as per Ticket #7034. To avoid technical debt, an investigation needs to be done into whether we can update pylint to a more recent version without causing the same problems that were observed in the aforementioned ticket.
Acceptance criteria
Either:
- Pylint is updated successfully and pinned at the latest or at least a more recent version
- Test this against the failing script in NIMROD IBEX Script Console: Pylint Errror Loading Script [TIMEBOX: 4 Days] #7034.
- Fix any issues that occur when updating, within the time allowed in the timebox
- We confirm that Pylint must still be pinned at version 2.13.9
Unupdated dependencies should be kept up to date following this ticket.
- Pylint is for scientist scripts, to make sure they run sensibly. Ticket mentioned required us to pin it to an earlier version
- Not related to the pydev bug
