What: Replaced synchronous 'sleep(1)' with an asynchronous 'await new Promise' during orphaned SSH port-forward cleanup. Why: The synchronous sleep blocked the event loop. The parent function 'preflight' is an async function, making this a simple and clear fix to prevent locking up the event loop when cleaning up an orphaned ssh port-forward. Measured Improvement: A microbenchmark shows that 'sleep(1)' blocks the main thread for the entire 1-second duration allowing 0 event loop ticks, whereas the asynchronous 'await new Promise' wait resolves in the same time frame but permits event loop ticks to process concurrently.
