is it possible to make results reproducible by such techniques as specifying a random generator seed on the command line, and making the results invariant w.r.t. the number of cpu threads/processes?

this isn't super important, but may be nice to have

added --seed option in 1.3.0. Note that while the generated reads should be identical across runs their order in the fastq files is not guaranteed
