Installation

1. Clone the Repository

   git clone https://github.com/GurkhaTechnology/client-proposal-generator-tool.git
   cd client-proposal-generator-tool

2. Install Dependencies

   For Node.js and backend dependencies:

   npm install

   For frontend dependencies:

   npm install --prefix client

3. Running the App

   • To start the backend server:

   npm start

   • To start the frontend (React.js app), navigate to the client directory and run:

   npm start --prefix client

4. Environment Variables

   Create a .env file and add the following environment variables:

   PORT=5000
   DATABASE_URL=gurkhatechnology
   

5. PDF Generation Setup

   To generate PDF files, install PDFKit or jsPDF:

   npm install pdfkit

Usage

1. Navigate to the form page where clients input their project details (budget, scope, goals, etc.).
2. Click "Generate Proposal" after filling out the form.
3. The tool generates a professional, branded proposal using your agency’s template.
4. Clients can download the proposal as a PDF.
