convert to WebP #119
Comments
Hi, I'm just working on a new update in which I'm adding some new features for managing the webp format and I will release it in a few days. I'm interested in investigating this issue. Could you please send me the jpg and the webp files in order to check them? Feel free to send me the files via email if it's possible. P.S. The check for update menu item works only when a new update is available. |
I don't think my photos went through. In this case I shrunk the JPEG first and then converted to WebP.
It has the same problem with colors being different and darker.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for your quick response.
There should be two attached files.
The jpg is the original from the camera. They are both 6000 X 4000 in size.
I am impressed that the WebP file is half the size but the colors are very obviously different.
I was also curious if I could load files by picking a folder in a hierachy of folders and then Converseen would find all of the jpegs in the sub folders. And then when I click convert I would want Converseen to put the new versions back in the right folders.
Thanks

I am converting JPG to WebP. I am not resizing just converting.
I am using v0.9.9.8
The converted photos are obviously different than the originals. The colors are much darker and less natural looking.
I tried to attach a sample but you rejected the webP version.
Is there anything we can do about this? I like your product but this is a deal killer.
One more thing: the check for updates menu items doesn't do anything.
Thanks
