Features

Displays a preview of the SVG text and image in the Preview Panel.

These are some of the features it offers:

  • Improve text formatting (without modifying file).
  • Show or hide SVG text from preview.
  • Configurable image backlighting.
  • Different SVG rendering engines.
  • Change the text font and size.
  • Text syntax highlighting.
  • Change theme styles.

The panel can be activated by clicking on the button highlighted to the left img 1 inside the file explorer.

The panel theme style adapts to the style configured in Windows img 1 , 2, although it can be forced to the desired style.

Settings

General overview of the configuration options available in the Preview Panel.

The font and size of the previewed text.

Through this menu option, it is possible to change the font and the size img 3 of the letters to suit the needs of each user.

The SVG rendering engine.

In the preview option of the menu it is possible to activate or deactivate the use of the Direct 2D engine img 4, alternating it in this way with the rendering engine used by default in the program. Both engines have pros and cons that you can consult in the performance comparison exposed in SVGIconImageList.

The highlight colors of text syntax.

The Text Colors img 5 option allows to set the highlighting preference in the text syntax. For example, in attributes it is possible to color their name in one color and their value in another, or even apply a background color to them.

Theme styles.

By default, the program recognizes whether the Windows theme is light or dark to apply a theme based on this information. But through this menu option img 6 it is possible to force the desired theme regardless of the configuration in the operating system and choose between 10 different themes.

Apply changes.

To apply the changes made to any of the menu items it is necessary to click the "back" button before closing the menu.

Supplementary information.

The Preview Panel settings is very similar to the SVG Text Editor settings, but they are not related to each other.

The settings file is located in the directory:
%username%\AppData\Roaming\SVGPreviewHandler\Settings.ini
