Windows Troubleshooting

  • Make sure your Windows Advanced Firewall has a new rule for Inbound Rules to allow the port for the app your are attempting to view

  • Make sure you have port forwarded your ports on your router that is connected to your modem. A lot of people have mesh or multiple AP (Access Points) in their houses. If you have a mesh network make sure that your modem either from your isp or that your direct internet connection is going into has been put in bridge mode to your router if your modem is not in bridge mode then you need to port forward on your modem.

  • You can Check to see if your ports are working by going here if it shows timed out you most likely have a blocked port by your ISP. the best way to confirm this is to look up myisp (ie. Comcast, Shaw, ATT) blocked ports. Their main site should show what ports they block by default.

  • Check Your Logs
