Categories are insufficient, and maybe even misleading.

Background

The categories are old and the inconsistent result of the opinion of a few. "We have had different feedback from users over time. There is no silver bullet."

1. Hazard Apps ➔ Hazard ?

   • This change is likely to be approved. @silviamazzoni will inquire.
2. GIS Tools ➔ … ?

   • “Geographical Information System Tools” is too long.
   • “Geographical Information System” feels incomplete as a category name.
   • "GIS" is well-known in the field.
3. Tools vs. Apps ?

   • Why both? Which are "Tools"?

4. Analysis v. Simulation v. Visualization ?

   Perhaps, “Data Analysis”. — @silviamazzoni

From me:

Categories are not adequate, because apps overlap. Tags are more suitable, because app can have multiple.
