Owner requested GPU support for both Apple Silicon and Nvidia. Spec updated:

  • llama.cpp backend matrix: Metal (Apple Silicon), CUDA (Nvidia), Vulkan (AMD/Intel fallback), CPU (final fallback), runtime auto-detection
  • Native MLX integration explicitly not adopted for v1 (second inference engine + separate model format); Metal covers Apple GPU acceleration. Revisit in v2 if needed
  • Release packaging note: macOS bundles Metal; Windows/Linux bundle CUDA+Vulkan via dynamic backend loading (M6)
