Hey Constituents!

Thanks for sticking with us and being a part of the community-- we value your feedback and have been hearing some concerns about "moving goalposts" regarding the website always increasing the goal. This was not meant to be deceptive at all, rather this was more of a low-effort hack from our end to constantly show that we have passed the known bidding threshold of $14mm while also encouraging additional contributions so that our bidding capabilities stay competitive.

SO! We'd like to leverage any of you frontend wizards out here and ask y'all to open a pull request on our web repo (https://github.com/ConstitutionDAO/www) with a fundraising bar that includes markers of conveying that we already reached our $14mm qualification goal, our $30mm competitive goal, and still showing that we could use more contributions to further increase our chances of winning!

when contributing:

  1. For security reasons, we won't run netlify autodeploy on any PRs. Please include screenshots!
  2. Make sure that it works on mobile.

We're looking forward to seeing your front end wizardry!

Instead of setting arbitrary goals with moving targets, have you considered using a simple design that shows the goal as exceeded/funded?

My suggestion is a big departure from the requested solutions, so I won't do a PR. However, I'll share my solution here, since I haven't seen any updates to the website and the target keeps bouncing around.
