The Choice Database has 5 sub-databases. The main database is the SEC Enforcement sub-database, which contains over 2,000 data points relating to SEC enforcement actions relating to blockchain technology, digital assets, and cryptocurrency. The 5 sub-databases are:
- SEC Enforcement. The SEC Enforcement sub-database contains information relating to SEC enforcement actions.
- Cases. The Cases sub-database contains information relating to important federal securities cases and common precedents in the cryptocurrency space.
- Legislation and Regulation (Legreg). The Legreg sub-database contains information about statutes that regulate the blockchain industry.
- Litigation. The Litigation sub-database contains information relating to private blockchain and cryptocurrency litigation.
- Secondary Sources. The Secondary Sources sub-database contains information relating to academic articles on the topic of digital asset regulation.
For referrence, the database uses a coding scheme for several Boolean variables where 1 means yes or present and 0 means no or absent. Additionally, many of the variables use natrual langugage text.
