Not sure if it will be dropped entirely, but v6 will de-emphasize the milestone colors. We already use colorcoding for rings and platforms, and milestones just make it to buzzy without conveying any information for those who don't know the colors.

The timeline will just show the version regardless of what we do instead of the current dots.
