Abstract

Add an Eulerian solver to couple simulation of 1D sooting flames with soot calculation using a classical sectional soot model

Motivation

The objective is to enable the computation of both flame and soot using detailed chemistries. Such an evolution would enable Cantera users to perform simulations of sooting flames within Cantera directly. This would not affect the computation of classical flames of course, but would bring people to compute sooting flames with detailed chemistries directly within Cantera. Computing most of the flames proposed within the International Sooting Flame workshop directly in Cantera would then be possible

Possible Solutions

The description and the modifications are included in the attached pdf file.
