Nav buttons in "Metallic" theme do not render in IE7 & IE6

My AnythingSlider implementation using the "metallic" theme works perfectly in all browsers except IE7 & IE6, where the auto generated ul nav buttons do not render. The start-stop button appears, but the thumbNav buttons within the anythingControls div do not.

UPDATE:

I am able to get the thumbNav buttons to show in IE& & 6 if I change the following code (lines 81-85) in the theme-metallic.css file:

FROM:
div.anythingSlider-metallic .thumbNav li {
display: inline;
}
div.anythingSlider-metallic .thumbNav a {
display: inline-block;

TO:
div.anythingSlider-metallic .thumbNav li {
display: block;
float: left;
}
div.anythingSlider-metallic .thumbNav a {
display: block;

However, the first time I click on the last thumbNav button, it just jumps to that slide -- there is no transition effect. Once I've clicked on that last nav link, the transitions behave better.

Please note, the size and style of the nav buttons are not rendering correctly in IE6 and need further css tweaking.

Fixed for IE7 in version 1.5.10.

I'll leave this issue open until I get some verification that it works in IE6 as well.

Hi Mottie, I thought I'd point out that Microsoft provides free virtual machines (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=11575) that you can use specifically for IE 6, 7, 8, 9 testing using Microsoft Virtual PC (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=24439) which is also free :D Yeah it takes up a lot of space, but it's probably the most "right" way to go about doing it.

Thanks for the info, I already use IE9 in compatibility mode to cover IE7+... I'm starting to think about just dropping IE6 all together, but I'll leave that as a group decision. I really don't want to use up a few GB of drive space just to test stuff for IE6.
