sveltekit adds unnecessary magic behind the scenes. it's not a webapp like a crud app - really we have just one page so the vast amount of functionality provided by sveltekit is not needed.
Svelte 5 is at the release candidate stage so we may as well adopt that now too: https://svelte.dev/blog/svelte-5-release-candidate
