TypedPolymer is a TypeScript based Polymer components framework. It was inspired by PolymerTS, the concept was a bit different though. Instead of only using Polymer features and base it on HTML5 imports, my concept was to create a JS/TS import structure and add features I've personally been missing in Polymer.
This is how the Typed Polymer was born. The only issue for now is Polymer 2.0, which kinda defeats the purpose of this kind of libraries. For now (as nobody actually uses TypedPolymer?), I consider this project as a proof-of-concept, though it can be used in production (but it's better to wait for Polymer 2). For any questions or suggestions, make an issue :). Also, feel free to fork it and do whatever you like. The project is licences as MIT and I require no credits on redistribution (though would be nice ^^).
Note: Typed Polymer embraces the power of Decorators in order to work. If you cannot use them by any reason, please do not use this library.
Note2: Typed Polymer does NOT support legacy browsers, and will never ever do (unless I get paid millions).
npm install --save typed-polymer
or
bower install --save typed-polymer
Besides of default Polymer features, Typed Polymer introduces:
- Component name (tag name) is by default taken from a class name (can be overridden)
- JS expressions in template bindings
- targeted events with a css selector filter (just like .on() in jQuery)
- once events
- styles and template provided in decorators (which is also available in PolymerTS)
