Description
Describe the bug
The Mac version of the BOINC client has permissions that "go bad" very easily. After nearly every system update, including minor ones, you can no longer launch BOINC. You get an error message that the permissions are bad and the app needs to be reinstalled.
On newer systems, this doesn't just happen when you update the system. Sometimes it can happen anytime, without warning. If you look at your computer wrong, BOINC won't want to launch.
Steps to reproduce
This isn't a bug report in the traditional sense.
To recreate, run any macOS update on a Mac running BOINC. Then try to launch BOINC once the update is done. Permissions error warnings come and reinstalling is the only fix.
Expected behavior
I guess this is part bug report, part feature request.
Because here's the thing, can't the program fix itself? Cant it run a script to check all the permissions it needs on launch. And if they're wrong, instead of just dying and telling you to reinstall, can't it just.... fix them? Then run?

System information
This has been a problem on all recent versions of macOS for years, and all recent versions of BOINC for years. This isn't an isolated or obscure issue. Its just how BOINC works. Its permissions on macOS are extremely fragile.
