Does the zwave-js-server or ui update autoamtically during runtime.

Hi guys,
Does the zwave-js-server or ui or any other application perform auto-updates of any type?
A few days i noticed some of my devices api formats got changed. The devices were at a customer location and no updates were performed. I still find it weird but dont know why it happened.

Ex: for the door sensor i noticed that the status event returned door_open/door_close instead of the older open/close . I am not sure the device OTA took place because the device is out of support from the vendor.

Still clarifications on this issue can be helpful for me to analyse my problem.
