Retro for Q3 2022 Ensembles!

Thank you all for participating in ensemble sessions from July through September! In order to "crank up the good" we thought a little retro would be nice!

• We wrapped up all the Invitation and Member management work for the Andromeda milestone! YESSSSS!!
• Rotating drivers has felt great for getting things out of my brain and into other folks brains!
• I've enjoyed having @sadiejay and @anaulin on the stream with me! I don't know how meaningful streaming has been from a solicitation of contributions, but I'm enjoying doing it with yall!
• Contributors can push to branches now! No more need to Fork or keep your Fork up to date!

• I worry that there's not enough structure or space for people to really build their skills.

• I'd love to see more out-of-session contributions; I don't quite know how to make that seem or feel achievable tho!
• Maybe there could be "Quests" that people can pick up during the quarter; and carry to completion outside of sessions? People could submit patches and get study materials, guidance or feedback from @anaulin and I?

• It feels like our velocity has increased, and our continuous improvements of the codebase and the architecture are paying off.
• It's been great to have more people show up at the ensembles and drive, and participate in the Twitch chat.
• Moving the Wednesdays ensemble to start at 5 PM Pacific (one hour earlier than before) has been working great for me.

• I crave having users or a clearer sense that "someone wants/needs this", which would help me have better focus and motivation as to what to work on. (I recognize that this might be a 🐔+🥚 problem -- not enough built out to have users...)

• I enjoy our 2-hour bi-weekly Sunday group pairing sessions and am happy to continue them. I learn a ton from our sessions. 😄
• thanks for letting us Contributors push to branches. Was getting tired of 🍴 Forks. That would make Out-of-session contributions easier.

• Out-of-session contributions are tough for me to commit time and energy to. 😢 My work tasks and home projects/chores already take up so much 🧠 🔋 I often don't have any left at the EOD.
• I love driving during sessions as long as my chronic RSI injured hands 🙌 aren't flaring up.

♻️ I'd be open to meeting every Sunday instead of bi-weekly Sunday if you want to increase velocity.

• I think a user map or flow would be nice to have. It can make a lot easier when implementing a certain feature. It can be any rough sketch or just an arrow pointing when a button is clicked the user will see a form for example.

How would you feel about us setting up a team on penpot.app that we can fill with sketches of flows for features? I am not a designer; and I don't know that I would enjoy taking the time to learn how to use the wireframing tools; but I can kinda draw what I'm thinking on my iPad if that would help?

I have not used the penpot.app but looking at it seems like more or less figma. Definitely I can go through it and create a team account :)
