CPod version: 1.27.1
Platform: Linux

Installation type (.deb, Snap, etc.): Flatpak

Description: Sync Fails with Gpodder Login information

Version of CPod which introduced the issue (if applicable):

Steps to reproduce: Install Cpod, select sync and input user name/password. Restart, following message appears.
Username/Password verified by logging into gpodder website.

same exact problem. Spent hours trying to fix it with no resolution.

I'm experiencing the same problem with latest version (1.28), in Linux and Windows.

Possibly related/duplicated:

Possible regression, maybe? (#82)

Adding some diagnostics to cbus-sync.js shows the error Error: certificate has expired when attempting to login. This, I believe is the HTTPS SSL certificate for https://gpodder.net having expired. However probing using a browser shows the certificate as still being current:
