Hello, I have given pngoptim a try, but I have ran into errors.
I tried to optimize a png file, and for a while it was working, then suddenly failed.(for that time it was using PNGOUT)
Log: http://hastebin.com/jiwimizusi.tex
I have translated the error messages the best I could.( I use Win7x64 and this copy has all the system messages localized to Hungarian)
The folder containing the .cmd file and the .exes is located at C:\pngoptim so no unicode chars there.
My username does not contain unicode chars either. So pngoptim should work fine, but it doesnt.

Can you please share the test.png so I can have a try?
What did you mean by 'suddenly failed'? pngout.exe crashed?

If it's locale-related issue, I can try it in your locale in a virtual machine.

Here is my test.png: http://filebeam.com/7f9aa294a69ee814e69a606798abb71d.jpg
Suddenly failed meant that the script ended abruptly in a barrage of error messages(as you can see it in the log). As far as I can tell noting has crashed, but I think the only thing the script did, was a single iteration of PNGOUT, and could not do any of the further iterations.

Also, as far as I can tell, zopflipng had never ran, even though it is supposed to run before pngout.

The file you just posted is a jpg right?

also if zopflipng had never ran for you, can you try running zopflipng manually and let me know the result.

Sorry, the Filebeam seems have converted the png image into a jpg. New link: http://dfiles.eu/files/427dwbtx4

Zopflipng seems to work just fine if i run it manually.

Did you have any success with testing the image I linked? Or other updates on the issue?

I can't reproduce you issue. I haven't tried it in your locale yet. I plan to do this in a virtual machine with Windows 7 professional.

I have some doubts that just by setting the locale and installing a language pack, you will be able to get a system that behaves exactly like mine. My system is completely localized, every last bit of the OS, including the installer and low level system tools like the boot-time CHKDSK and the BSoD screens.
I am not sure if you could get the same level of localization, unless you download a Hungarian edition of Win7.
If necessary I can make an ISO from the install disc I have, upload it to a good filehost and send you the link.
