[BUG] Text color picker delay

Has this bug been raised before?

• I have checked "open" AND "closed" issues and this is not a duplicate

Description

When picking a color for a selected text and close the color picker dialog immediately, the color will not be applied, instead you should wait for a few hundred milliseconds for the color to be applied to the text.

The more intuitive behaviour is for the color to be applied to the text immediately or after a very short delay e.g. 10ms
