This example creates a compute instance and a set of block volumes.
Prepare one variable file named "terraform.tfvars" with the required information. The content of "terraform.tfvars" should look something like the following:
$ cat terraform.tfvars
# Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Authentication details
tenancy_ocid = "ocid1.tenancy.oc1..xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
user_ocid = "ocid1.user.oc1..xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
fingerprint= "xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx"
private_key_path = "~/.oci/oci_api_key.pem"
# Region
region = "us-phoenix-1"
# Compartment
compartment_ocid = "ocid1.compartment.oc1..xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
# Compute Instance Configurations
instance_display_name = "sample_instance"
source_ocid = "ocid1.image.oc1.phx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
vcn_ocid = "ocid1.vcn.oc1.phx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
subnet_ocid = "ocid1.subnet.oc1.phx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
ssh_authorized_keys = "/home/opc/.ssh/id_rsa.pub"
# Storage Volume Configurations
block_storage_sizes_in_gbs = [60, 70]
Then apply the example using the following commands:
$ terraform init
$ terraform plan
$ terraform apply
