This doc is assumed to work on Fedora 19 and 20
1. git
use root to install git
you will see following error when you set config as a regular user:
[hoyao@dhcp-129-86 Documents]$ git config user.name 'hoyao'
error: could not lock config file .git/config: No such file or directory
fix:
cd to home folder
[hoyao@dhcp-129-86 ~]$ mkdir .git
[hoyao@dhcp-129-86 ~]$ touch .git/config
[hoyao@dhcp-129-86 ~]$ git config user.name 'hoyao'
[hoyao@dhcp-129-86 ~]$ git config user.email '[email protected]'
2. install teamviewer
download rpm from http://www.teamviewer.com/zhCN/download/linux.aspx
[hoyao@dhcp-129-86 Downloads]$ sudo rpm -ivh teamviewer_linux.rpm
warning: teamviewer_linux.rpm: Header V4 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 72db573c: NOKEY
error: Failed dependencies:
libXrandr.so.2 is needed by teamviewer-9.0.27891-1.i686
fix it:
use localinstall command, which will resolve dependency and install them
[hoyao@dhcp-129-86 Downloads]$ sudo yum localinstall teamviewer_linux.rpm
Loaded plugins: langpacks, refresh-packagekit
Examining teamviewer_linux.rpm: teamviewer-9.0.27891-1.i686
Marking teamviewer_linux.rpm to be installed
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package teamviewer.i686 0:9.0.27891-1 will be installed

3. ruby
[hoyao@dhcp-129-86 misc]$ sudo yum install ruby ruby-devel ruby-doc ruby-irb rubygems rubygems-devel rubygems-doc
4. Google chrome
create repo file:
[root@dhcp-129-86 ~]# cat /etc/yum.repos.d/google-chrome.repo
#### begin ####
[google-chrome]
name=google-chrome
baseurl=http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/rpm/stable/x86_64
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
#### end ####
install the rpm
[root@dhcp-129-86 ~]# yum install google-chrome-stable
