Privacy Notice

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices of Inbox Notifier for Windows. The goal of this software is to provide the end user with a simple and effective way to check the receipt of new emails from a Gmail account automatically.

Information collected, used, shared and security

Google

We are not collecting any of your personal informations, neither your Google address or Google password.

Inbox Notifier is using the Gmail API in order to communicate with your Gmail account, this include:

  • read the number of unread threads - in order to know how many messages are unread
  • read the number of unread spams - in order to know how many spams are unread
  • read unread email object and message - in order to display the appropriate informations in the notification area
  • read the number of drafts and labels - in order to display the inbox statistics
  • update the inbox label - in order to mark as read one or more messages

The Google Cloud Console are logging traffic informations, API methods used, error counts and server latency statistics: all of this informations are exclusively stored on Google servers.

We may use this information to make research on user behavior analytics and attitude. We do not disclose your private personal information.

For more informations about Google terms, read the Google Privacy Policies.

Cloudflare

Inbox Notifier is using the Cloudflare DNS resolver in order to check the internet connectivity: this allow the application to automatically reconnect to the network when the connection is lost. The Cloudflare platform will collect limited DNS query data that is sent to the resolvers. This data does not contain user IP addresses or any other personally identifiable information, and the bulk of the data is only stored for 24 hours.

We have choosed to work with Cloudflare to improve user privacy and DNS resolve speed. When the 1.1.1.1 IP address is not reachable, the application fallback to the Google DNS resolver.

For more informations about Cloudflare resolver terms, read the Cloudflare Commitment to Privacy.

Changes

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
