Internationalization

XaoS has internationalized menus and tutorials. Translations for both are available in several languages: Czech, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian and Spanish. Some of these languages are double checked (including English, German and Hungarian), but the others require verifying if all menu items and tutorial texts are correctly translated.
If yes, you can still double check if everything is correctly translated. We are thankful for any contribution.
- Please download XaoS for your platform.
- Install the program.
- Go through the menu system and verify if all texts are shown in your language (that is, not in English).
- If some texts are missing or you find some of the texts incorrect, please report it to us. Thank you!

- If some texts are missing or you find some of the texts incorrect, please download Qt Linguist (in case you use Windows, otherwise install it via the package manager of your system), unzip its contents and start the tool linguist.exe. (Note: On some Windows systems this executable seems to contain a virus. That must be a false positive report, the file is safe to use.)
- Find your localization file and download it in the following way:
- A localization file has the file extension .ts and it contains a two letter country code. If you need, for example, the Portuguese translation, its name is XaoS_pt.ts.
- Open that file in your browser by clicking on its name and then click Raw.
- Save the opened file with right-click in your browser.
- Open the file in Qt Linguist and check all localized texts by following this tutorial.
- Save the file and open a new issue on GitHub by attaching your update .ts file. Thank you!
Translation of the tutorials may need some more work. You find the available translations in the catalogs folder.
