Steps:

  1. Create a LDAP/AD user store with invalid configurations
    eg: Wrong Connection URL

Issue
The user store will be created successfully, but the user does if he/she can connect to the user store until it is used.
Expect a feature similar to the feature available in the JDBC user store to test the connectivity.

Thank you for your contribution!
We are closing this issue since it has not been prioritized for a long time. Chances are that it has already been solved in more recent versions. If not, we will be re-evaluating this when it becomes a priority.

This seems to be a valid requirement since there is no way to validate the connectivity without creating the userstore itself.
