Plugin claims compatiblity with 3.3 but has no .po files

In the plugin Gallery, we list lensGalleyBits v 4.4.0.5 compatibility with 3.3:

But, the stable-3_3_0 branch only has .xml files in the locale folder, without any .po files, which are required for 3.3.

Should we convert the xml files to po, or should we walk back the compatibility statement in the plugin gallery?
