Describe the issue
The way localized/translated pages are featured on a "landing page" looks to me like a manual addition.

Compare for example how the portion "Read this page in:" looks on a landing page: https://www.w3.org/standards/
with how it looks on a default page: https://www.w3.org/standards/about/
(see screenshots below)

Recommended solution
I don't have a recommendation other than maybe if for landing page we use a light grey background in a padded box to visually mark the links against a white background, then maybe we use a white background in a padded box to visually mark the links against the light way of the hero portion of the landing page?
