During a recent update to Python 3.7 we found LukeXuan/aiosmtplib has a small compatibility issue. We have a patch here: LukeXuan/aiosmtplib#1

Meanwhile mainline cole/aiosmtplib seems already have TLS support: cole/aiosmtplib#1 (comment). We should also look around for other SMTP client libraries.
