the status is as follows:

• i try to keep it compatible with future versions of Firefox
• i won't add or change any features
• maybe i might tackle bugs when i find the time to do so, but i can't promise anything

the future of textmarker:
due to the negativity and complaints of some users who don't understand that they installed a free open source product that i invested a huge amount of time for and also due to lack of time i decided about a year ago to terminate the project - but after having received a lot of feedback of people who sorta depend on this extension (i.e. for their studies) i agreed on trying to at least keep it compatible with FF.
my goal is to completely redo/refactor the whole thing and then make it available for chromium browsers as well and - while keeping basic features free - charge users for advanced features*. but that'd be a lot of work and needs to be squeezed in with life and work/job and so on, so as of now it is unclear wether and when i can accomplish it.
*) already existing users would get the opportunity to merge their existing highlights to this new extension and get a free version (or sth like that)
