Usually for browsers it's possible to do "paste without formatting" on right-click. This just pastes the text. This works for us with ctrl-shift-v but there's no context entry menu on desktop.

Test notes

  • Pasting with formatting works
  • Pasting without formatting works
  • Command + Shift + Option + V pastes without formatting on MacOS
  • Ctrl + Shift + V pastes without formatting on other platforms
