Location length and/or truncation optoin?

Would it be possible to add a locationLength option? When an event has an address for a location, and when locations are enabled, the location takes up 90% of the line and causes the description field to wrap which doesn't look great. I'd prefer to be able to see the description up to the length that I specified, and then either have the location truncate or else be able to set the location length to some specific value.
