Badge notifications not working

Running iOS 8.1.2 on iPhone 4s

Badge notifications aren't appearing. I checked Notification Center but Todo.txt is not listed.

The solution for this is shown at the end of issue #240, but maybe the fix has not yet been implemented in the main repo?

I am experiencing the same problem in iOS 9. If I remember rightly, I had some luck under iOS when I deleted and reinstalled from iCloud, but that does not seem to help in iOS9.

Is there any information on whether the fix from issue #240 has been implemented, and/or if this is in fact a new bug with the same effect?
