I would like to use YAML instead of JSON. I would be able work on that and add (optional) Symphony YAML support (and optional requirement in composer) by a pull request if you like.

Does it matter if in 1.0 or 2.0 branch? Any idea, when 2.0 will be released?

That would be great! I’d say build it for v1 for now and it should work for v2 once that’s ready. We might need to have the option to remove the updated_at/created_at, which we can do for v1.1
