Hi I have mgsd gtd (tiddly classic monkey pirate wiki) working on tiddly host and whilst saving via the 'save to tiddlyhost' link works fine its very slow with a mostly empty template.

My empty template is circa 780kb but once I start to fill it up it with my data (currently circa 5.6mb) it will become unbearable. The template has no images embeded nor any other blobs etc., it's an empty mgsd mptw template i.e. plugins, scripts and text only at this stage.

My empty 780kb template takes just over 3.5mins to save. andI haven't managed to complete an upload of my full 5.6mb wiki (I gave up after about 5 mins).

I'm very very grateful to have Tiddlyhost as I was a long time user of Tiddlyspot and my entire professional life is in my wiki - so huge thanks to Simon and everyone else who made this possible.

I'm aware that by using classic I can't take advantage of any improvements in web upload saving approach but would appreciate any advice on how I could improve things in the mean time.

Also what should be my expectations with regards to upload/save time? (assume ceteris paribus etc. e.g. my computer and upload bandwidth here is not a constraint).

Well I'm not sure what the recent changes must have been but the server is way way faster. Sub 2 secs for saving my 780kb template wiki and roughly 10secs for saving my 5.6mb wiki.

Did something change?

Thanks for the feedback. Are you still seeing reasonable save times?

I'm not clear about why, but folks in #345 are reporting speed improvements also.

One thing that did change around this time is I upgraded the underlying operating system on the server, so perhaps there was some kind of networking bug that was fixed by that.
