Steps to reproduce

Just use TfA.

Expected behavior

The old K9 accounts list.

The old K9 folders list, as it allowed selecting the depth of folders, say level 1 only, or level 1 plus selected level 2.

Please just copy and paste the old code. Do not waste time making new things that undo the excellent work in K9.

Actual behavior

Thunderbird for Android introduced a main menu with circled account initials: if you have multiple different accounts that happen to have the same initials, this is a mess.

Also, TfA introduced the default listing of all folders: if you have accounts with many folders, this is a mess.

Just undoing the changes completely is unfortunately not possible. There were a bunch of additional architecture updates that came with this visual change. We are however working on a few tweaks to restore some of the functionality we didn't get to in time before the release, such as the account icons. Note you can customize the initials now by changing the account name.

I appreciate that you've taken the time to voice your opinion and it is noted that the current behavior doesn't cover all the use cases. We're working on changes in various other issues current and future, therefore I'm going to close this one.
