Some computers (example EeePC) may not allow you to disable priority booting in EFI mode and HardenedBSD may not boot properly for some unknown reason. One of the fastest solutions is to delete the EFI partition (ESP flag) which will normally force your computer to boot in legacy mode.
In this example, the EFI partition used on the HardenedBSD memstick is /dev/sdb1:
You just have to delete /dev/sdb1 so that the USB HardenedBSD key can only boot in legacy mode:
