Environment in which you plan to use the feature (e.g., Local
(Linux/MacOS/Windows), Interactive Notebook, Google Cloud, etc..): MacOS and Google Cloud
Are you willing to contribute it (Yes/No): Yes
Describe the feature and the current behavior/state.
The latest Kubernetes python client version is 30.1.0 but TFX uses "kubernetes>=10.0.1,<13",
As the Kubernetes client version is very old I can not install TFX with other packages that use the latest Kubernetes client version. There is no way to build an application with TFX and other packages.
I am requesting to loosen the requirements in the subsequent version to allow a newer version of the Kubernetes client.
Will this change the current API? How?
This will not change the current API but the update may break some API, we can run the test cases to find out the impact.
Who will benefit with this feature?
All users running TFX in the Kubernetes environment
Do you have a workaround or are completely blocked by this? :
I can not install TFX with other packages that use the latest Kubernetes client version. I tried updating the client's version and plan to test it, but I cannot build TFX from the source on my system. Right now there is no way to get through this issue.
Any Other info.
I am following the steps mentioned in the CONTRIBUTING.md file but unable to build and test TFX. If someone can guide me to fix the issue, I can test TFX with the latest version of Kubernetes and raise a PR.
