Objectives

On February 9th 2018, we did a brainstorming about what this app should be able to do at its early versions. Here is a summary of what we wanna do with this application in BI-SP1:

  • flashcards-based app
  • platform for creation of courses
  • courses will have cards divided in sections, card types:
    • turn back (practice mode)
    • open answer
    • simple choice
    • multi choice
    • ...
  • each card can contain a text, a picture
  • courses and their sections can have associated materials
    • markdown format
  • on incorrect answer there will be an explanation on how to solve the card
  • courses and their sections will have some rating system e.g. likes/stars/hearts
  • "I have an issue with this card" flag—user will be able to categorize cards, e.g. "not learned", "partially learned (need practice)", "learned"
  • public courses will appear at the main page and in search
  • UI localization (czech, english, ...)

Things we would like to do, but we rate them as bonus things:

  • unit tests
  • public and private courses (with invitations)
    • private courses will have secret url which will add the user to the course
  • support for cards with sound
  • tags for courses
