Hi!

plrust and postgrestd has been using 1.72.0 for a while now. Is there a plan for plrust and postgrestd to support the latest stable version? (1.75 / 1.76)

Sure! I had been fully absorbed in getting pgrx to a point I could cut a 0.12.0-alpha.0 which is why the delay!

( No, I don't intend to have PL/Rust use that yet, it's an alpha for a reason, obviously, but I needed things to be in a condition that I could experiment with updating PL/Rust to it and finding out how much that breaks. )

Thanks for t he update.

I also recall @thomcc mentioned that the reason postgrestd and plrust are still stuck with 1.72.0 is because of a bug / issue within Rust, which cascade to some issue in the plrustc linter. I was wondering if there's a tracker issue for that and whether that is fixed in the recent updated version.

Hi, bumping this thread to see if there are any developments here? I believe pgrx 0.12.0 doesn't compile with 1.72.0 anymore, so iiuc the Rust version needs to be updated for PG17 support?

Hm. It seems the answer is that I no longer have commit privileges to this repository!
