Opening an item to edit will increase the date by 1 on each save. Date change is permanent, not something that reverts to original date on page reload.
Confirmed in Nightly Demo Version: main ~ Build: 1638e35.
I think this is related to hay-kot/homebox#236
I noticed something like this while ago. But for me, when I edit an item and click "select" on calendar it decreases one day in the date and fill the field with the wrong date but then saves the date correctly when I save the item. But the calendar component is having a weird behavior for me too.

Tested inside the hosted demo too.
The demo has the same behavior as my system.
Yes, it oes that too...but I belive this is an open bug, and they may or may not be related.
