What is the problem you are trying to solve with this feature?

The creation of labels currently follows a very formal path (you have to create it from the create button). This is fine, except for times when you find yourself in the middle of creating an item and you realise that the right label is not available in the list.

Furthermore, the keyboard creation process is stopped because you have to select from a label list.

What is the solution you are proposing?

Would be great to be able to create labels on the fly as you type out the information for the items (a la Notion and most software that works with tags)

What alternatives have you considered?

I actually had this exact situation the other day, so +1 from me.
