In the wake of HOS 17.0.0, SciresM uncovered a time bomb in the way that programs (including TegraExplorer) wipe NANDs.

His recommendation is, instead of deleting system save files, call the Switch's official code, ResetToFactorySettingsForRefurbishment.

I believe this would be a useful thing to incorporate into TegraExplorer just for safety's sake, even though AMS 1.6.1 can and does repair past this damage.

It is not that simple. TE is ran before horizon is even active, so i cannot make use of that syscall (or any syscall, for that matter).

I need to either

  • check if keeping the 800..000 save intact works
  • ...or regenerate it by hand

Both of them require heavy testing i do not have the time/motivation for currently
