CC tray icon disappears or never shows up #1790
Comments
Adding another thing I just noticed: when I first log into my desktop environment (Debian Stretch, Cinnamon WM), CC is started automatically but the tray icon is not shown on the tray. I try to start CC, but the system warns me it's already running. I then need to kill it and start over to access it, as there is no way to find without the tray icon. |
@efeefe Are you able to login via CC on Debian stretch(Cinnamon ) and not showing tray icon? |
I have logged in already. The problem now is when I first start the desktop session (log into my computer). CC is running, but the icon is not there. |
Might be your issue related to this issue linuxmint/cinnamon#2846 |
was not able to reproduce this bug. Will be monitoring it |
It seems to be fixed on my end. I'll close the issue. |
reopening as it seems to be here still. it happens when I first log into my computer, which runs debian 9 + cinnamon window manager. I have tested with mate window manager and the problem does not occur, so it's something related to cinnamon. but all other tray-based applications I have start just fine (mattermost, Franz, dropbox, nextcloud, etc). |

Current Behavior
The Control Center icon in my system tray disappears after some time. It may be after I suspend/resume, but not always. To access it again I end up needing to kill the process and starting over.
Edit: Just noticed that notification are still showing up in my system, despite the tray icon being hidden.
Context (Environment)
