If we use a variable substitution as a placeholder for another variable the placeholder is not selected. For example, a snippet transforming what we type on $1 to uppercase, and we want this transformation to be the placeholder for $2:
$1 => ${2:${1/(.)/\u$1/g}}
The strange thing is that the $2 placeholder get selected if we add something static at the end of the placeholder, eg, with an exclamation mark added:
$1 => ${2:${1/(.)/\u$1/g}!}
I’m using build 3103 on OSX.
