Program exits when playing Spotify songs #1602

Describe the bug
Crashing when trying to play spotify song using the 1.20 build and g-streamer from the source

To Reproduce

  1. install 1.20
  2. build g-streamer from source
  3. authenticate spotify
  4. play spotify song from search / songs

Expected behavior
I really want the songs to play..

I have seen this issue before, the program just exits, but I do not have the issue with the latest gst-plugins-rs from the main branch.
Are you sure you built are up-to-date version of gst-plugins-rs from the main branch? Can you check what commit version of gst-plugins-rs you built? Use git log -1.

To make sure gst-plugins-rs is up-to-date:

git checkout main
git pull

Did you copy the libgstspotify.so to the correct gstreamer plugins directory?

facing the same issues. rebuilt strawberry and gst-plugins-rs from scratch. the plugin (libgstspotify.so) was copied to the correct directory (/usr/lib64/gstreamer-1.0/)
